Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in the year 2002. The Department offers Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Master's degree in Applied Electronics with value-based education and research activities for students. The students are not only told to learn the logic but also to use their imagination as it can lead them to discover new things.

Faculty members in the Department are well-experienced in various areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering that include Digital Signal Processing, Wireless Communication, VLSI, Microwave & Optical Engineering, Communication Systems and Embedded systems. The Department is prestigious with latest software like Cadence, Pspice, Xilinx, LabVIEW from National Instruments and MATLAB.

The Department is committed to transforming the individuals into globally competent Engineers with application-oriented learning, research activities, dynamic entrepreneurship skills and human values, fulfilling the needs of society.

The Department is funded with grants from the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST). The Department has also initiated professional societies namely, IEEE (Control system), ISTE and IETE society.

Students from the Department have secured 17 Anna University ranks in the year 2012 and are placed in high profile companies like Hexaware, Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, Stellar Technologies, HCL, MindTree, etc.
